بهترین دستاورد چنین اتفاقی برای ایران، می‌تواند ایجاد تصویری از یک کشور تاریخی باشد که در گذر سال‌ها، همیشه به دغدغه‌های انسانی و جهانی، پاسخی نوآورانه و منحصربه‌فرد داده است و امروز نیز کشوری است پیشرفته در زمینه‌های مختلف فناوری و با همان روح تاریخی خود، در پی تعالی بشر و حفظ سیاره زمین برای همه انسان‌ها.
رویکرد این پروژه، فاصله گرفتن از تعریف ایران در چهارچوب یک نمایش تاریخی صرف و اهداف کوتاه‌مدت فرهنگی و اقتصادی است؛ این‌بار، بازدیدکننده به قلب یک تجربه ساده فرستاده می‌شود، زمانی که عطار پیر ایرانی از او چند سوال ساده می‌پرسد و به او، از به تعادل رساندن جسمش با خوراکی‌های رنگارنگی می‌گوید که هر یک شخصیتی دارند همسو یا در تضاد با طبیعت او. و معماری‌ای که از درون همین بینش می‌روید، با همه ساکنین این سیاره دوست است و به تعادل زیست انسان می‌اندیشد، تعادلی برای زمین.
فضایی به مساحت تقریبی 50 مترمربع، قلب پروژه و تجربه‌ای منحصربه‌فرد برای بازدیدکننده است. کف متحرک این اتاق، بازدیدکننده را به مرکز مکعبی می‌برد که از تنیده شدن تار و پودی با یک الگوی ایرانی خلق شده است و گره‌های این فرش سه‌بعدی، عصاره گل‌های فرش ایرانی است، همان رازهای تعادل جسم. نور روز از میان این شیشه‌های پر از اسانس، این فضا را با رنگ‌های مختلف روشن می‌کند، مثل نوری که از پس شیشه‌های رنگی به کف خانه‌های قدیمی ایران می‌افتد. در شب هم، این شیشه‌ها که با کالکتورهای خورشیدی الکتریسیته ذخیره کرده‌اند، مانند تجمعی از احجام نورانی، بر فراز گندم‌زار پاویون ایران می‌درخشد. بام پاویون ایران گندم‌زاری است که در تمام زمان فعالیت اکسپو، یک فضای عمومی باز است برای انجام فعالیت‌های جمعی و استراحت بازدیدکنندگان، به دور از شلوغی مجموعه اکسپو.
با توجه به تم این دوره اکسپو ـ تغذیه زمین / انرژی برای زندگی ـ و همین بینش اعتدال‌محور، پاویون ایران بدون بتن‌ریزی و با بازیافت یا باز استفاده حداکثری از تمام مصالح به‌کار رفته صورت می‌گیرد. مکعب اعتدال به صورت پیش‌ساخته در میلان نصب می‌شود و پس از اتمام اکسپو، دوباره جمع‌آوری شده و با مونتاژ مجدد، در ایران مورد بهره برداری قرار می‌گیرد. پوشش داخلی دیواره‌های پروژه نیز که از الیاف گیاهی است، در پایان به خوراک دام‌های ایتالیایی بدل می‌شود و مهم‌تر از همه، ساختار تمام فضاهای بسته پاویون که از کانتینرهای حمل‌ونقل دریایی است، پس از اتمام کاربری، به صورت کامل بازیافت می‌شوند.

The best Achievement of this event for Iran could be creating an image of a historical country which always has its own responses for the humanitarian and international concerns, with an innovative and unique aspect, over the years. These days, Iran as a country which has advanced technology in various fields, follows its historical spirit, on the track of human excellence and preserving the earth for all human beings.
The approach of this project is taking distance from a common historical display of Iran and obtaining short-term cultural and economic objectives. In this view, a visitor is sent to the heart of a simple experience, when an old apothecary of Iran, “Attar” asks a few simple questions. “Attar” bringing the body into balance, by colorful foods, each of them has a nature that is consistent or inconsistent with his humor. The architecture that is born from the heart of this insight loves and cares all the inhabitants of this planet and thinks to human and ecological balance and sustainability of Earth.
In this designed pavilion, there is a 50-sqm space in the heart of the project, which creates a unique visual experience for the visitors. The movable floor of this room takes visitors into the center of the Peace Cube. Weaving the warp and woof in an Iranian pattern creates the Peace Cube. The nodes of this three-dimensional carpet are distillates of Iranian flowers, which have been presented in patterns of Iranian carpets for a long time, just as the secrets of body balance.
Daylight, through the glasses, throws the light upon the room with different colors. Just like the light falls to the floor from the stained glass windows of an Old Iranian house. At night, the glasses, which save the electricity by a solar collector, shine over wheat fields of Iranian pavilion like stars that are shining in the night sky. The roof of the pavilion is a wheat field that is an open public place during Expo. This space can be use for conducting collaborative activities and also for visitor’s relaxation away from the busy atmosphere of Expo.
Based on the theme of Expo, which is feeding the planet / energy for life, and according to Iranian historical vision of sustainability, the pavilion will be made from used containers and recyclable materials. The Peace Cube that will be installed prefabricated in Milan is going to be used in Iran as a symbol of human peace, after Expo. The used materials in this project are plant fibers, which can be used to feed animals, after Expo. Above all, the entire structure of all the closed spaces of the pavilion, which are made from used marine transportation containers, can be recycled and reused.
