خانه آجری کردان در زمینی به مساحت ۱۳۷۵ مترمربع، در جنوب منطقه کردان واقع است. این خانه ویلایی متعلق به خانواده‌ای است که قصد دارند اکثر اوقات هفته را در محیطی آرام و مستقل، با امکانات رفاهی کامل، و در نزدیکی محل کارشان زندگی کنند.
یکی از چالش‌های طراحی پروژه، ایجاد حریمی امن و خصوصی برای خانواده کارفرما بود که ایده طراحی بنا را نیز تحت‌الشعاع قرار داد. بدین‌ترتیب، بنا و حیاط‌ها به گونه‌ای استقرار یافتند که ضمن ایجاد محرمیت، بسته و محدود نباشند. تعریف یک گودال‌باغچه در حیاط پشتی ساختمان، یکی از تصمیمات اصلی پروژه برای دست‌یابی به این خواسته بود. بدین‌ترتیب، حیاط پشتی به کانون توجه بنا تبدیل شده، و تمامی توجه پروژه به این حیاط معطوف شده است. به عبارتی، بنا دل در گرو درون خود دارد تا بیرون!
با توجه به خواسته کارفرما مبنی بر ایجاد اختلاف سطح، طبقات در ترازهای مختلف طراحی شدند تا با ایجاد تنوع فضایی و رفتاری، کاربری‌های متنوعی را درون خود پذیرا باشد. همچنین با طراحی ارتباطات عمودی متنوع، سیرکولاسیون حرکتی سیالی در اختیار کاربر قرار داده شده است. در میانه ساختمان نیز ووید مرتفعی قرار دارد که علاوه بر ایجاد ارتباط بصری بین طبقات، نور کنترل‌شده فضاهای داخلی را در تمامی فصول تامین می‌کند.
تراز همکف ویلا به فضاهای عمومی اختصاص داده شد، و در تراز میانی، اتاق‌های خواب، و در بالاترین طبقه، فضای سرگرمی جانمایی شده است که در مجاور آن، تراسی با دید وسیع قرار دارد. همچنین استخر و فضاهای مرتبط با آن در پایین‌ترین تراز حیاط پشتی واقع شده‌اند تا علاوه بر ایجاد محرمیت، منظر مناسبی را برای فضاهای داخلی به ارمغان بیاورد.
خواسته کارفرما خانه‌ای مدرن بود که در عین‌حال، حس‌وحالی گرم و سنتی داشته باشد. ما نیز سعی کردیم در طراحی دیتیل‌ها و انتخاب متریال‌ها، خواسته ایشان را برآورده کنیم. فضاهای داخلی این پروژه دارای حس‌وحالی مدرن، مینیمال و پالت رنگی روشن است، حال آنکه در فضاهای خارجی، با استفاده از آجر و دیتیل‌های خاص، حس‌وحالی گرم و سنتی حاصل شده است. در واقع، خانه آجری در جایی بین گذشته و امروز واقع شده است.

Kordan brick house is located on a land with 1375 square meters area, in the south of Kordan region. This house belongs to a family that intends to spend most of the week in a quiet, independent place with full amenities, and close to their work place.
One of the design challenges was creating a safe and private place for this family, which influenced the idea of designing the building. In this regard, the buildings and courtyards were located in a way that they would not be closed and limited, while creating privacy. The definition of a garden pit in the backyard of the building, was one of the main decisions in the project, to achieve this purpose. Thus, the backyard of the project has become the center of attention, and all the attention of the building has been focused on this yard. In other words, the building depends on the inside, rather than the outside!
According to the client’s request to create level differences, floors were designed at different levels, to create a variety of functions, by making spatial and behavioral diversity. Also, by designing various vertical communications, fluid motion circulation is available for the user. In the middle of the building, there is an elevated void, which creates a visual connection between the floors as well as providing controlled lighting of the interior spaces in all seasons.
The ground floor was dedicated to public areas, and the bedrooms was located in the middle level, and on the top floor, the entertainment space was located, which is adjacent to a terrace with a wide view. Also, the pool and its related spaces are located at the lowest level of the backyard, to create confidentiality, and also gives a suitable view for the interior spaces.
The client requested a modern house that had a warm and traditional feeling. We tried to meet their demands in designing details and selecting materials. The interior spaces of this project have a modern and minimalist feeling with light color palette, while a traditional warm feeling has been achieved in the outdoor spaces, by using brick and special details. In fact, the brick house is somewhere between the past and the present.
